by: Terra Nova Learning Systems

In this lesson, students explore the importance of the scientific method and how it applies to both historic scientific discoveries and our every- day lives. The story of Chris continues to unfold as students follow the step-by-step process of the scientific method to develop a hypothesis about Chris. Students collect and analyze data to create and interpret graphs and to formulate a question for Chris’s doctor to explore during a medical exam. Students also provide an example of how the scientific method applies to their daily lives.
