In this Data Puzzle, students will observe how temperature, dew point, pressure, and wind direction change over time, and they will interpret this suite of related changes as due to the passage of a cold front. They will recognize relationships among the variables and get a sense of cause and effect. They will then use their
understanding to predict temperature changes for a different location based on data provided about wind and pressure changes. This puzzle works well in an Earth science or meteorology
course.
