In this chapter, the authors briefly outline the process used to create the SciJourn standards, and then describe each in some detail, furnishing the reader with real student examples. As you seek to “sell” the project to your schools, parents, and community members, it might be useful to connect SciJourn goals and standards to those created by national boards. It may, in fact, be useful for you to consider developing your own list of connections between SciJourn goals and the standards your school relies on.
