End-of-Year Testing

by: Lori A. Howard and Elizabeth A. Potts

This chapter addresses requesting testing accommodations for students who need them from either the College Board or International Baccalaureate (IB). Planning is essential to success, so identifying which students will need to have testing accommodations should happen before the school year ends. The discussion in this chapter is intended to provide an overview but further information can be obtained from the school’s guidance or college preparatory office. There often is a designated contact person who is responsible for requesting testing accommodations for students with disabilities. It’s important to know the school’s process and contact person.
