The leap from lab and application is pretty large. Don't get me wrong, I like the level of questions that the author asks of students. It is just that for the students to do a good job, they may need more information than what the lab provides them. Students look at slides of blood cells and make observations. Students also look at the blood cell count in their observations. Some background information is provided to the students to help with application questions
