I enjoyed the Interdependence of life textbook so much! It was a great resource and taught me a lot of valuable information about ecosystems, biomes, animals, and so much more. I loved how there were so many different interactive questions and games to engage in while completing and reading the interactive textbook. The information was very important and useful! I would love to incorporate this resource into my future classroom!

The Interdependence if Life e-book is great !! I enjoyed every chapter, the interactive parts of each chapter and the quizzes at the end of each chapter. I did encounter a few issues with the quizzes. I know I had the correct answer but it marked it as incorrect, other than that it was very beneficial. The book is easy to follow and explains things well. I am not in the classroom yet but I will definitely use this in the future !!

After completing this interactive resource, I realized how beneficial this would be in the classroom. Students will be able to use this in their learning journey. The educators will also be able to use this in their learning and lesson planning activities. This will be very beneficial in the science unit to add some personalized learning activities from the interactive ebook. The questions at the end of each section will provide the students with immediate formative assessment of the students' learning . There were some problems with a few of the interactive questions. Two of the questions told me that the answer I chose was correct, however it showed the red x.

After completing the Interdependence of Life E-Book, I can immediately see the benefits it provided me. Not only did it summarize key concepts in science, but addressed them in abstract ways that ensured understanding. The book allowed me to interact in ways that aided in my understanding of each topic and apply it to different settings and subjects as well. The website was fully functional for the entirety. Lastly, the E-book provided tons of ways for me to check my learning, through each chapter and at the end. The sections were ended off with quizzes including key concepts of the chapter, something that is beneficial to my learning as well as my students!

I read this interactive e-book, and I found it to be very helpful! I was able to use this while planning a second grade lesson plan related to the butterfly life cycle. It was very useful, as it had extremely informative content that I could implement in my lesson plan and use to help guide my lesson. There was also a good amount of interactive components included throughout this resource. This e-book was very easy to nativagate, and I was able to learn a lot about ecosystems that helped me effectively develop and informative and interactive lesson for second grade. As a junior in college, I found this to be a very useful resource as it gave me a good refresher on content that I haven't been exposed to in a while, and I was even able to develop new understandings related to the interdependence of species and ecosystems. There were so many important topics that were explored throughout this resource, and though it was filled with informative content it was also visually appealing and interactive which made it much more engaging, motivating and interesting to read through. I would highly recommend this resource, and I hope others can find it as helpful as I did!

As a beginner educator, I read this resource in its entirety and found it to be so rewarding. I used this interactive e-book to plan a second grade lesson on insects. I loved how interactive this resource was, while also providing me with extremely informative science content that I needed to truly understand to carry out my lesson. I walked away learning a lot more about different species relationships and how they interact with varying ecosystems. I found the visuals throughout the textbook to be super engaging and also helped to reinforce the concepts of each section and helped me check my own understanding. I also found the end of book assessment to be a great tool to check your understanding, as well as a great resource to look back on after you pass it. Overall, I found the interactive e-book to be easy to navigate thanks to its engaging format and I look forward to using more of these resources in my teaching journey.

I used this eBook Professional to gather information to teach a lesson to 5th grade students about food chains and the transfer of energy through a food chain. I read the whole book, and it contained a lot of information on a wide variety of topics. Even though the topic of food chains and energy only took up a small portion of the eBook, the knowledge about food chains and energy found in the book was important to my lesson. The other information found in the book helped me build a base of background knowledge about topics related to food chains, such as competition between populations in an ecosystem or the different types of biomes that are found around the world. Reading this extra information made me more knowledgable about the overarching topics that food chains are a sub-category of, thus deepening my understanding of food chains and how energy travels through them. I loved the assessment checks that were found throughout the book, it helped me ensure that I processing the information that I was reading in the text. This eBook professional was a helpful resource that greatly contributed to the teaching of my lesson.

I read the entirety of this ebook for creating a lesson plan in science regarding adaptation. I was very pleased to see how useful this ebook was in creating such an effective yet interactive lesson play for my 4th grade students. My focus was mainly on on chapter 1 specifically sections 3, populating a population and section 4, changing population. These sections helped me to gather further insightful information regarding competition, predator and prey and limiting factors that I was able to use in my lesson on adaptation. My lesson already talked about these aspects in some degree, but with the large amount of new information I gathered from this ebook, I was able provide an efficient lesson on adaptation and my students could not have enjoyed it more.

I chose to review this interactive e-book before planning a lesson on insects for the second grade class I was student teaching in. I enjoyed working through this e-book not only because of the extremely informative content but also because of the interactive components and the frequent check-ins. I am currently a junior in college and it had been a while since I studied most of these topics. The information was detailed and accessible and I was able to learn so much about ecosystems, species relationships, and more. After completing the e-book, I felt a lot more confident in my knowledge base before preparing my lesson. I felt like I was able to retain so much of the content because of the "check your thinking" opportunities, one question reviews, and the short quizzes at the end of each Science Object. These helped me stay on track and reinforce key ideas. Overall, this resource was an engaging way to rediscover concepts that really helped me plan and deliver my lesson.

The information provided in this E-book was thorough and well written. The E-book itself was very easy to navigate and contained a variety of biology and life science topics. I would definitely recommend Interdependence of Life E-book to any elementary educator who is teaching life science concepts, and I intend to use this book when planning future lessons as well.

The visuals throughout the book were very engaging. It was very easy to navigate throughout the book. As a student teacher, this resource was very helpful. It allowed me to refresh my memory of ecosystems and the specifics of them. It gave me detailed and accurate information that I used to help me create a successful lesson plan. The book was very well organized and easy to navigate. I was able to use the table of contents when I was working on my lesson plan to easily find the page I wanted to look back at and use as a resource. It also provided me with visuals to help me better understand the written text and get a better idea of what it was trying to convey. Overall, this resource was very useful and should be recommended to other student teachers, future teachers, and current teachers.

As a student teacher preparing to teach in the future it is so important to find resources that are reliable and informative. This specific resource, as well as many other resources on NSTA, are extremely useful for teachers all around. The Interdependence of Life E-Book provided me with great information that furthered my understanding of organisms and their habitats. As a future educator, this resource has been extremely helpful. I have been able to brush up on my science knowledge as well as having unlimited resources to plan lessons. I was provided with vocabulary options that gave me great definitions. I learned about organisms and environments in which they live in. The visual interactives made the process engaging. I was constantly reinforced about key concepts and big ideas that strengthened my understanding. Additionally, I liked how the book provided photos to follow along and provide insight. The book was easy to use and had an engaging format. I will use this resource in my future classroom!

As a preservice teacher, this was an excellent resource to help me build my background knowledge on the interdependence of life. This resource was very interactive. There were many questions throughout the chapter that reinforced key concepts that we were reading about and asked me to apply the knowledge I learned to new situations. There were also many green vocabulary words in the chapter, and I was able to click on them to read the definition. Having easy access to these definitions really helped me better understand the material, and I didn’t have to leave the website to look them up. I also liked how many interactive pictures this book had. There would be pictures of habitats and I could click on the picture to search for abiotic and biotic factors. Being able to actively engage in this material really helped me understand these concepts better, and it definitely translated over well to the lesson I taught my 2nd graders. I will definitely be using this resource again in the future!

This interactive e-book became of great use to me. As a pre-service teacher, this e-book provided a lot of helpful information about organisms and the environments in which they live. I really liked how the visual interactives imbedded in each section allowed me to explore ecosystems and biomes first hand. This allowed me to better my understanding of the material without it being presented in a boring way. If anyone is looking to refresh their memory or improve their knowledge about ecosystems, biotic factors, abiotic factors, population, and specie relationships, this is an awesome resource to use. The information is displayed in a simple and engaging format, which made it easy to understand the material. I have no doubt that I will use this resource for my knowledge in the future!

I loved the images throughout the E-Book it was a very engaging and captivating book. As a currently a pre-service teacher in my junior year of college, I chose to use this resource for a lesson plan assignment. This book has many pictures and interactive activities and quizzes to keep you focused and ensure understanding. My lesson was about how bugs interact with the environment and what their roles are. I was able to find really good information on this topic to help me understand more about bees and their roles which was beneficial to my lesson. This book was very easy to navigate and be interactive with. Some of the activities shown from the textbook would be a great resource to use in class with students.

I used this interactive E-book Professional to plan a lesson about insects in a second-grade classroom. The book was organized extremely well, with the content ordered sequentially in which topics effectively built off one another. Additionally, the interactive component of this resource was especially engaging and helped me to self-assess my understanding of the content. I enjoyed how frequently there were "check for understanding" or review questions! Furthermore, I felt that the textbook included several appropriate and helpful visuals. In particular, the models and diagrams with clear explanations were especially useful in supporting my understanding of the content.

I used this E-book to help plan a lesson plan for my 3rd grade classroom! I really appreciated that it had pictures to help illustrate what they were talking about, as I find that visuals help me understand what they're talking about. When I was planning my lesson for a first grade class on Parent offspring relationships I found this resource to be extremely helpful. I was very rusty on my knowledge about organisms in general and was lost with where to look and when I found this resource I was able to begin my lesson confidently. This resource has a lot of useful information and interactive activities that I was able to get inspired from. In addition, there were checkpoints, mini quizzes, and a final assessment that I was able to use to evaluate my level of understanding of the content. There were also amazing pictures included in this ebook that kept it very engaging! Overall, this ebook was extremely helpful for me to use while planning my first grade lesson and I would recommend that anyone who is in the process of planning a lesson on living environment should definitely use this as a resource.

When planning a lesson about the life cycles of butterflies, this was an awesome resource. I was able to utilize it in a way that allowed me to gather some background knowledge and information on my topic. I remember learning about biology and the interdependence of life throughout high school, but this E-book provided a lot of information that was easy to understand and refreshed my knowledge. While reading through the chapters, I was able to test my understanding using the various quizzes, which was extremely helpful because I was able to ensure I was retaining the information. Additionally, the chapters in this E-book are very easy to read, and helpful when planning a lesson for elementary school students. Overall, this was an excellent resource, especially if you are planning to refresh your knowledge on anything related to biology!

I read through this e-book to prep for a second- grade life science lesson plan. It was a great refresher of content I already learned in high school/college. The information was presented in a way that made a lot of sense and was easy to take in. Before I read, I was concerned that I would have forgotten a lot of the information, and that I would have a hard time retaining what I read, however the e-book made "re-learning" the information very do- able! After reading through the e-book I feel as though I am much more prepared to teach my lesson, and can come to my students with a greater understanding of the topic!

As a future educator, I completed this E-Book in order to create a first grade Life Sciences lesson plan. Reading this E-Book was really helpful in reviewing what I learned in High School/University level Biology classes. Many of the different activities discussed in the book would be useful in my future classroom and it was very helpful when creating my lesson plan so that I was sure I had accurate details and ideas incorporated into my lesson. Overall, I would recommend this E-Book to anyone who is looking to review/learn some information on Life Sciences!

This interactive e-Book was FULL of information about the interdependence of life! It was a great refresher for me on topics like food chains and webs, ecosystems, predators and prey, and a lot more that I haven't thought about in the years since I graduated. It's a bit like drinking from a fire hose, though, so make sure you set aside plenty of time to work your way through. There are tons of interactive tools that serve as visual aids to reinforce the content, as well as experiments/demonstrations to be used in the classroom. This is definitely a valuable resource for any science educator!

As a pre-service teacher, I found this particular interactive E-Book to be an exceptional resource to review this material while also learning about several different items that I had not previously experienced. I loved the fantastic images and videos that were included throughout the E-Book. My only complaints are that there were a couple issues with the reviews and the final quiz (incorrect answers marked as correct, although the captions supported the correct answer). I would potentially add more explanations to all of the answer choices so that those who are using this as a tool can see where they continue to have misconceptions. The other challenge that I had was that I was unable to access any of the resource links for K-4, 5-8, 9-12. They took me to the learning center, but it said page was not found at that point. I would love to have a collection that I could save in My NSTA library for future references. I also loved the interactives!! I would love to have them in a place where I could quickly go to utilize them in the future should I need a quick review. I also would love to see an addition that discusses how it's not so easy to convince people of how important it is to preserve our natural world around us. I lived over in Tanzania, and a couple months ago, we had elephants who were passing through a village trample a lady and ate up many of the gardens. These people wanted the elephants dead. It's not just cut and dry that we should have a desire to protect our animal counterparts. A discussion of the challenges that come with this particular experience might be a great addition to continue keeping the book relevant in the ever-changing world in which we live. Aside from those minor issues, this resource is absolutely fantastic. The information is so relevant and allows the reader to refresh on the material in an easy to read, interactive and engaging manner. I recommend it to any teacher (regardless of where you're at in your career - pre-service, first year, or veteran teacher) as a tool to review and advance your knowledge and success in the classroom. I'm very impressed by this resource!

This textbook gives you an abundance of in depth information on organisms in their environments, species relationships, population balance in biomes, and agents of change in ecosystems. It gives the reader opportunities throughout the text to test their knowledge with short quizzes, and there is also a great tool at the end of the book called the final assessment. The final assessment is a great tool that teachers could use as a challenge feature to test or quiz their students to get a good idea of the information students learned from reading this text. I think this text is extremely engaging and does an excellent job implementing interactive features that I think will really help students and support them in learning this information. This is a great source to use, and I highly recommend it to any educator!

I am a pre-service teacher in my junior year of college, and I used this E-book to help me create a lesson plan all about ecosystems and how they support organisms. This E-book was very informative about a variety of topics that are interwoven together. For example, I read the E-book with a specific topic in mind (ecosystems), and by the time I was finished I wanted to tie together more concepts, such as populations, because the book showed me how well these topics were related. The E-book was engaging as well, making it a fun read because it has color pictures and images that you can click on and interact with. I felt that I digested the information in this E-book well because it incorporated spots to "check you thinking," as well as review questions to help you gauge how well you understood the material. The end of the E-book also talks about the key ideas included in the text and what the learner should be able to do to provide evidence of their understanding. I really liked the "Evidence for Understanding" portion of this book because I could translate these into questions and activities I could do with my students in the classroom to make sure they understand the material that I taught them from this E-book. The final assessment that you can take after you read through the E-book is a great comprehension check for yourself, and you also could utilize some of those questions on a test for your students after you taught the material to them! I recommend this E-book because it gives you a healthy background knowledge about populations, ecosystems, biomes, and so on. I love that it is on the NSTA website because I trust the information I am reading, so I know I will be able to teach my students information they can count on being true and relevant. I am currently a pre-service teacher in my junior year of college. I originally completed this e-book for an assignment, and I ended up finding it very helpful to me. The assignment required me to teach a lesson about animal adaptations to a group of my peers. It had been a while since I learned about that in school, and this book gave me the refresher that I needed on the topic. It allowed me to make sure I was putting accurate and relevant information into my lesson plan to teach. The book itself was very informational, it gave many great examples as well as images and diagrams. It was also very engaging. I really liked all of the interactive aspects like the games and checkpoint questions throughout the book and it was very easy to navigate. These elements made reading it a lot more bearable for me, unlike with traditional textbooks. I would definitely recommend this interactive e-book, and any of the interactive e-books for any teacher or pre-service who is looking to expand their background knowledge prior to creating a science lesson!

I am a pre-service teacher in my Junior year of college. For an assignment, I completed a lesson plan about adaptation in a general sense. I struggled with what to include and what not to include in my lesson as adaptation is such a broad concept. Let me tell you, this book was SO much help and I could absolutely see myself using it in an elementary school classroom in the future! Not only was the information presented in an engaging way, with pictures and examples, but also the interactive pieces of the book were simple to navigate and helpful for comprehension. While the language in this book may be a bit sophisticated for elementary school students, the information is easily adaptable and helped me as a teacher plan a lesson as best as I could. Additionally, the interactive pieces helped me plan helpful comprehension questions to guide my discussion about adaptation to the students. I think now more than ever, it is important to engage students in interactive online readings, rather than readings. Even as an adult, I struggle to keep focus with online readings, however, an interactive E-book like this helps students (and teachers) be engaged and focused during online readings! It helps ensure comprehension with the "check-in" quizzes and chapter quizzes at the end of each chapter; it ensures the reader is on track to understanding the book. Overall, I loved what this E-book added to my lesson and would absolutely recommend the use of this book to any pre-service or in-service teachers!

I'm currently a pre-service teacher in my senior year of college. I taught a science lesson that talked about pollination and how pollinaotrs and plants are dependent of each other. This E-book was very helpful because it gave me insight of how organisms interact with the ecosystem, and how different organisms have different relationships with the environment and each other. This gave me a lot of background knowledge for me to teach my lesson! This book was very engaging and interactive because there were many fun and interactive activities in each section of the book. I am currently a pre-service teacher in my junior year of college. I completed this EBook originally for an assignment, but I ended up finding it very helpful and engaging. Before I taught the lesson, this book gave me a great insight of how organisms in an ecosystem survive, how they interact with their environment, and the relationships between each organism. This book was extremely informative, gave great examples, provided detailed and easy to understand diagrams and models, and showed high-quality and defined pictures. I could definitely see how this interactive book would be fun for younger students and beneficial to their learning. This experience for students would allow them to stay actively engaged and involved as they participate in mini quizzes at the end of each section, are able to interact with the models and diagrams, and assess their understanding through the post-test. This is a great resource and I'm so glad I was able to expand my knowledge on this topic, but also see how amazing interactive Ebooks can be. I cannot wait to use more of these interactive Ebooks in the future with my students!

I am a pre-service teacher in my junior year of college. I completed this eBook for an assignment, however I found it to be extremely helpful! Biomes and animal diversity has always been one of my favorite topics and this eBook gave me so much great information. The activities would be so much fun to use in a classroom and really engaging for students. I think this will also be a great way to study for my PRAXIS exams.

I completed this eBook for a class assignment as an Elementary Education major and I think it will be a fantastic resource to use in my future classroom! All of the interactives were great additions and visuals for the eBook , and the quizzes were not too difficult to complete. The frequent little quizzes throughout were perfect for staying on task and providing more interaction through the eBook. There was an abundance of information for the interdependence of life and I would love to use this in my future classroom one day. I think my future students would really enjoy it and the amount of content is perfect for a complete unit on this subject.

I purchased this eBook for my classroom to use this year. After purchasing, I explored the e-Book and was amazed by the beauty of this product. The graphics are outstanding, the interactive modules and videos add an additional depth that really captures the students attention. This is not in anyway just a "digital" text book. It is a visual an intellectual experience. I implemented this e-book in my classroom, for the first time, this year. My students honestly love it. This book covers all of the content standards with life biology, your units are right there ready to go. The students are engaged and actually want to read! It has had a tremendous impact on test scores, and retention. My students are still able to recall what they learned, they recall images and video clips. It is a kinesthetic learning experience. I was so impressed with the first one that I purchased a second about cells, which is equally stunning. I can't wait to get the complete set and neither can my students! I highly recommend this product!

NSTA’s new eBook, the Interdependence of Life is a wonderful educational tool. I found it to be a comprehensive resource that covers four science objectives: “Organisms and Their Environments”, “Species Relationships”, “Population Balance in Biomes”, and "Agents of Change in Ecosystems”. I appreciated the fact that all of the lessons had audio to accompany the text. There were slideshows, animations, and “Hands-on-Activities”. There were also plenty of interactive simulations that I found to be very useful when I needed to demonstrate a concept and many of them were designed in a game-style format for the students to use. This eBook also included a “Search” button that allowed me to search for information using just a few key words. And the “Check Your Thinking”, found every few pages, provided my students the opportunity to answer discussion questions or short answer questions in more depth. The “Take Notice!” also alerted the student’s to facts that pertain to the lesson they were discussing that normally they might have missed or over-looked. Another great feature was the “Review What You Learned”. This feature provided my students, in a multiple-choice format, the opportunity to review the concepts they had just covered. At the end of the book, the correlation of the new NGSS standards, Science for All Americans, and Benchmarks for Science Literacy are discussed. I highly recommend this book to educators and students wanting an excellent and proven means to learn the content needed for curriculum and instruction about the Interdependence of Organisms in Earth’s Ecosystem.

I believe that this interactive E-book was very informative and would be great to use as an educational resource. I loved how this textbook went into great detail regarding prey-predator relationships, biomes, climate change, and environmental impacts due to human interactions. While I find this textbook a great resource, there are a few things that I found a little tedious and in need of some fixing. For one, when I went to go take the end of section quizzes, they would not load, it just popped up with a message saying contact the Help Desk. It also was tedious because like many of you, some of the interactive components would not load or let me particpate in its activity. Finally, the only other problem I had was that in some sections of the textbook, it seemed like the information was very repetitive, making it harder for me to understand what it was saying. Other than these few things, I found this resource very informative and educational.

I found this e-book very educational and informative. I really liked learning about the wide variety of topics that were covered throughout this science book. Sometimes I find learning about science difficult, however, with this content about populations, animals, biomes, people affecting our environment, and other insights on our planet. I believe this topic is very interesting because it is about the world we live in and explaining the environment that we call home. Therefore, I would recommend this e-book to others because it is very educational and gives me a better understanding of how weather and the food chain affects us every day. On the other hand, some negative aspects of this e-book are that it is extremely wordy and requires a wide range of concentration in order for someone to fully understand. Unfortunately, when I was trying to interact with some of the elements within the book it would not allow me to open additional icons within the textbook. I believe this may have been because of my computer, however, it was very frustrating to try to understand what the book was talking about when needing to see the interactive materials that were unable to open for me. I also struggled and had difficulty even getting to look at the vocabulary words within the book because the textbook would not pull up certain vocabulary words on my computer. This makes it very difficult to understand what the book was explaining with the key terms because if you just Google the key term you do not get the contacts as it was used in the article. With some of the pages throughout the book I was able to open the vocabulary words and understand the meaning of the book even more, so I do like the aspect that there are vocabulary words and their definitions in the book. All in all, despite some of these mishaps and frustrating moments I still would reread this article because I found it very engaging with bringing information to life about the environment that we live in in how animals interact with one another in order to survive in the wild.

This ebook was great! The interactive part in each chapter kept me in engaged. I liked how it would ask questions in regards to what you were reading but allowing for higher order of thinking. I found the quizzes helpful as they recapped what I had just learned. I think teachers could utilize this when they are planning for their unit on interdependence of life. I did have a problem with one quiz. When I would move on to the next question, it would only show half of the question and I would have to go back and forth to read the entire question and answer. Overall I found this interactive ebook engaging and helpful in learning about interdependent of life.

I found this interactive resource to be incredibly informative. I believe that by providing useful resources with each section, allows the learner the ability to learn real-life examples. I did have a few times where some of the external links did not want to operate correctly, but once I refreshed the page, they would work without fail. I believe that students could greatly benefit from the information that is provided as well as the extra information and hands-on activities available in each section. The quizzes at the end of the sections provide the learner with an opportunity to test their knowledge. I believe that this comes in handy when you are working on the final assessment. I also believe that the final assessment should provide which questions you were incorrect on, so that you can better understand your answers.

This recourse was very helpful in assisting me with information for planning a 5th grade science lesson. My lesson focused on food chains/webs, and the amount of energy that flows through a food chain. This resource covers information on topics such as systems of life, inputs and outputs of ecosystems, factors in ecosystems, and the web of life. For planning my lesson, I pulled information from the eBook on ecosystems and how parts of the ecosystem are all interconnected. The eBook is neatly organized, with enaging pictures and videos. It is also interactive as well, and includes questions about the content throughout the book. At the end of the book, there is an assessment that quizzes you on the entirety of the information covered in the book.

I used this resource to help me prepare for a 2nd grade lesson on plant diversity and different biotic and abiotic factors of environments. I felt that this book was very easy to navigate and had a lot of interactive elements. I liked that many of the picture were even interactive and as the reader I could click on different aspects of the picture and a box would appear with more information. I also liked how at the end of each chapter there was a self test. I felt like this was a great way for me to check my own personal comprehension and make sure I had understood the chapter. It also helped highlight areas I did not grasp as well so I could go back and re-read sections. The end of book test was a great way to wrap up everything that was in the ebook and the questions covered a wide variety of topics from the whole book. Throughout the book there were also lesson ideas which was a great way to start thinking about how to implement the material in a real classroom. All of the sample lessons were very hands on and I could see students finding them interesting. I used this book to help prepare me for one specific lesson but I can definitely see myself using the knowledge I gained in even more future lessons!

Each part of the book is very accessible and easy to navigate. The information is relevant to the topic and I loved the several checks for understanding throughout each unit. I am currently a pre-service teacher and decided to use this resource, Interdependence of Life, for a lesson plan on how bugs interact with their environment to help us and the seasons, like how bees help with pollination to give us the season of Spring. This E-book gave me crucial information regarding the systems of life and how animals adjust and change to the environment around them, which helped with my background knowledge of ecosystems in order to create a lesson plan to teach students this science concept regarding how bugs are dependent on their environment. This resource was also helpful when growing my background knowledge of changes in the ecosystems regarding nature's and human's impacts. I took what I learned from this resource and applied it to my lesson when teaching students nature's impact on bees and how they pollinate, specifically how pollination occurs in bad weather or how human interaction with flowers allows for more opportunities for pollination. I would recommend this resource for teachers who want to grow their knowledge on the ideas of life and their environments. This book was easy to use and the check-point questions allowed for one to refresh their knowledge and check to make sure the concept is understood to its full potential.

I am currently a pre-service teacher in my junior year of college. I wrote a lesson plan comparing two different ecosystems. This E-book was extremely helpful and provided me with a lot of useful information. It refreshed my memory on this topic and taught me new things I did not know prior to reading this text. It helped me feel prepared to teach my lesson plan. As you read through this E-book there are chapter quizzes which assess your knowledge about what you just read. I found this to be very useful and it helped me stay engaged as I was reading. I really enjoyed this E-book and I loved how each page was full of diagrams and pictures to help you as you read. Overall, this is a really great resource and it provided me with the proper knowledge to write my lesson plan!

When I was planning two different science lessons, one about the flow of energy in the ecosystem and the other about insects, this e-book was helpful! It was very easy to use and to find information throughout the book. I liked that at the end of each section there was a review where I could go through the questions to see what I knew and what I needed to go back and review. This e-book provided me with the background knowledge that I needed to help me plan my lessons, especially since these were topics that I hadn't learned about in awhile! I think that there was a lot of great information throughout the text, and it was all written in a way that would be easy to transfer and teach to elementary students! I liked how the chapters and each of the sections were set-up; they were fairly easy to read. I also liked all of the visuals and graphics that were in the e-book, which were all very informational and appropriate to show elementary students. The test at the end of the book was also very helpful because this also helped me see what I remembered and what I needed more time to learn. I think that was a really helpful resource, and I will definitely use it again in the future when I need to plan a lesson about any of these topics!

I am a methods student teacher preparing to student teach in the fall. I utilized this interactive e-book to plan a second grade lesson on plant part functions. I did not find this e-book to be particularly helpful for my specific lesson. This e-book would be an amazing resource for anyone looking to plan lessons around food chains and webs, predator and prey relationships, energy transfers, and a lot more! However, I did find this resource to be a great refresher on those topics. It is set up in an organized fashion that makes the large amount of reading more manageable.

As a a pre-service teacher in my junior year of college, I chose to use this book for a lesson plan assignment. In my lesson I taught my peers about the characteristics of a habitat that are essential to an animal's survival. The book had a lot of useful information and was a great resource for my personal knowledge. The pictures were engaging and interesting. I was even able to use some of the pictures in my lesson plan. The one caution I would give people is to be wary of assigning it to students. The interactive checkpoint throughout the book were very easy to answer. The were based off of the readings and were pretty easy to use the text to figure out the right answer. However I found the final quiz much more difficult than the checkpoints. If you are assigning this textbook to students, I think it's a great tool but that you should do the final quiz as a partnered, small group, or whole group informal assessment. Some of the questions were really great and required some in depth thinking that would be good points of discussion.
