Experience Aquaculture at the University of Minnesota

Hosted by Minnesota Sea Grant

Join Minnesota Sea Grant for an immersive, hands-on experience at the University of Minnesota’s Aquaculture Lab. This program will be offered in two sessions on Thursday, November 13, 2025:

  • Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Afternoon Session: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM 

Participants will:

  • Tour the Minnesota Sea Grant Aquaculture Lab and learn how we grow fish
  • Take part in an engineering and design challenge to build a model aquaponic system
  • Receive educational resources from Minnesota Sea Grant

Transportation will be provided to and from the Minneapolis Convention Center. 
Cost: Free to attend 
Capacity: 15 participants per session (preference given to educators from Great Lakes states)
