Old Wine Into New Bottles: How Traditional Lab Exercises Can Be Converted Into Investigative Ones

The trend in biology labs to move away from the traditional method of teaching to an investigative one is increasing. The object of this is to teach not only the facts but also the process of science. But all techniques and procedures are not equally adaptable to the investigative format. This article provides good examples of how the transition from traditional to investigative labs can be made.
