Teaching Through Trade Books: Sharpening Your Senses

Science and Children -- May 2004

Students’ fascination with the world around them can inspire numerous investigations about the five senses. This month's Teaching Through Trade Books column focuses on two books about the senses: My Five Senses and Knots on a Counting Rope. Activities for grades K-3 and 4-6 help children develop an understanding of the five senses and their functions in a meaningful way.
