NSTA Announces New Website Launch

New website offers members and visitors a more streamlined design and navigation, enhanced resources, and a better user experience from beginning to end

ARLINGTON, Va.—June 1, 2020—The National Science Teaching Association (NSTA), the largest professional organization in the world promoting excellence in science teaching and learning, announced the launch of its newly redesigned website. The new site features a sleek, modern design and streamlined navigation that will help educators more easily find and access content—including vetted lesson plans, journal articles, and book chapters. The site’s improved functionality allows users to customize their experience based on the grade and discipline they teach.

The launch of the new website coincides with the release of NSTA’s innovative digital engagement strategy to rebrand the Association’s quality suite of products and services, provide a better user experience to educators, and offer new low-cost membership benefits and options tailored to fit educators’ unique professional needs. It comes as an exciting addition to the Association’s recent decision to change its name and logo to better reflect the numerous stakeholders in the K–16 science teaching community.

“We are so excited to introduce our new website—and the new NSTA—to the world,” said Elizabeth Allan, NSTA President. “We look forward to providing educators everywhere with more dynamic content and lesson plans, more personalized services, and a fantastic suite of tools, resources, and opportunities that will support educators’ long-term professional growth.”

Notable changes on the new NSTA website include an improved experience where users can better explore the vast quantity of NSTA content and build their personal library of classroom resources with a simple search using key words. It ends the isolation that teachers often encounter by allowing them to network with colleagues, share experiences, and also share content, resources, and lesson plans.

"We see the new NSTA and our website as the portal to a quality science education for all students in this country,” says Moira Fathy Baker, NSTA Interim Executive Director. “Right here you will find free and low cost quality resources from a trusted source that will help educators connect, collaborate, and grow professionally.”

NSTA’s new website will be updated on a regular basis with new resources, product launches, conferences and professional learning opportunities, science education industry news, and much more. Visitors are encouraged to explore the new web site and check out our new membership offerings at https://my.nsta.org/membership/join/member-plans.
