Advocacy
We are the organization we are today because of the expertise, passion, and commitment of our members.
Your voice matters—and your involvement shapes the future of science education.
NSTA’s federal and state advocacy efforts are aligned with our mission to raise the profile of science education. These initiatives—combined with grassroots member engagement—support federal STEM funding streams, advance policies to benefit science teachers, and advocate for science alongside math and reading as a federal and state education priority.
But we don’t do it alone. When educators like you speak up, take action, and get involved, we amplify our collective voice—driving real change for classrooms, communities, and the next generation of learners.
