Illinois public school teachers of science, technology, or engineering working within 200 miles of Chicago have opportunities to attend the conference and take a deep dive into content with a half-day Professional Learning Institute (PLI). Full-time Illinois public middle school (grades 6–8) teachers of science, technology, or engineering working within a 200-mile radius of Chicago.

To qualify for this scholarship, you must be able to attend the full NSTA National Conference in Chicago, July 21–23, 2022, and also be able to attend a half-day PLI, Wednesday, July 20. Complete the brief survey for eligibility.

Professional Learning Institute (PLI) Ticket

Full-time Illinois public school K–12 teachers of science, technology, or engineering working within a 200-mile radius of Chicago.

To qualify for this scholarship, you must already be registered for the NSTA National Conference in Chicago, July 21–23, 2022, and be able to attend a half-day PLI on Wednesday, July 20. Complete the brief survey for eligibility.

What Are Professional Learning Institutes?

PLIs are focused, content-based programs that explore key topics in science and STEM education in depth. The presenters are experts in science and STEM education, current research in science education, professional learning, standards implementation, assessment, curriculum, and resource development. PLIs are offered in conjunction with the 2022 NSTA National Conference on Science Education in Chicago, and are half-day sessions on Wednesday, July 20.
