Do your students have difficulty understanding concepts related to evolution? A cloud-based simulation was created and tested with beginning biology classes to address concepts such as genetic drift, mutations, and nonrandom mating. Students performed significantly better on exam questions concernng the computer module than they did on other questions taught in a more traditional manner. The online tool is free to explore and incorporate. Students will enjoy the ability to access the tool at a time convenient for them. Caution: it does not appear to work on ipad.
