Science and Engineering

When teaching the scientific principles of flight, the author has students create design prototypes, engineering projects that are initial attempts to solve a problem. As a result, students apply their knowledge of science in order to construct a working model. In the process of designing and testing working models, students grapple with and develop an understanding of basic principles of science and engineering technology.
