As you finish your rookie season in the world of education, every first-year teacher deserves a hearty congratulation. Everyone will tell you that their first year was the most challenging… what they often omit is that their second year was second on that list of challenging moments as an educator. This chapter supports new teachers as you make the transition between your first few years to develop skills and organization to keep you on the path of improving competency and community impact. It provides some tips to help you earn that "veteran" title sooner rather than later.
