Description

Join us on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, from 7:00 PM ET to 8:00 PM ET, to learn about NSTA's Professional Learning Units.

Whether you are new to NSTA Professional Learning Units (PLUs) or an experienced PLU participant, this web seminar provides guidance in using PLUs to lead and/or collaboratively engage with school-based professional learning.

PLUs are bite-size, self-paced asynchronous learning opportunities designed to:

  • deepen educators’ understanding of phenomena-driven, three-dimensional teaching and learning, and
  • provide strategies to support the instructional shifts needed to teach and learn in this way.

Our facilitators will model leading PLU-based professional learning using “The Meaning Beyond the Words” as the context for learning. We’ll also share directions for creating a PLU learning community so you and your colleagues can document and submit your thinking as a group to individually earn professional learning hours.

All individuals receive a certificate of participation and 100 NSTA activity points for attending the live seminar and completing the end-of-program survey. A certificate of participation is not awarded for watching the recorded version of the program.

We invite you to register for upcoming web seminars at NSTA.
