In this activity, students create unique, colorful flying discs and their interest in science soars! Once the discs are finished, they are tested for flight distance and the students return to the classroom to do the mathematics, with distances posted from the shortest to the longest. Students experienced a real event that encouraged inquiry learning and better understanding of the principles of aerodynamics.
