Read Chapter 4 from "Why Read Picture Books." The rest of the articles in the collection are examples of lessons that use the 5E model. Select 2 of the these articles to read. Your goal for this reading is two fold: 1) to become fluent in the 5E learning cycle instructional model such that you would be able to take any science lesson and turn it into a 5E lesson, and 2) to begin to build your own collection of ideas and resources as you discover interesting lessons that you could adapt for future instruction.
