In this seminar, committee members will facilitate an exploration of innovative teaching strategies, share stories, and build a community for educators of color to connect with each other, exchange ideas and collaborate on creating more inclusive learning environments. By bridging perspectives and sharing valuable insights, the presenters seek to inspire meaningful changes that promote equity and diversity within the science education community.
By bringing together the collective wisdom and experience of educators of color, this event aims to be a catalyst for promoting equity and diversity within the field. Participants leave with more than just newfound knowledge; they leave with a renewed sense of purpose, determination, and a commitment to breaking down barriers in science education. All educators of science, members, and non-members of NSTA are invited to attend this web seminar.
All individuals receive a certificate of participation and 100 NSTA activity points for attending the live seminar and completing the end-of-program survey. A certificate of participation is not awarded for watching the recorded version of the program.
