I have seen this with filling a glass of water, drinking some, and then calculating the moles that were drank. Or, using chalk, writing something, and then calculating the moles of chalk used in the writing. This lab uses packages of sugar and salt. Same concept, something somewhat novel for students to use to make the calculations.
