Protozoology Lab Skills

This section uses protozoa to help students either review already acquired lab skills or learn entirely new ones. As students are led through the investigations in this section, they are encouraged to observe and compare biological processes among the organisms. They will also compare and contrast microorganisms, measure abundance and diversity, and acquire a technique for testing the susceptibility of microorganisms to chemicals. By acquiring these skills, students will feel comfortable with laboratory procedures and find their work more interesting, as well as develop confidence in their scientific abilities.
