This article provides a great explanation of what astrobiologists do. It outlines how astrobiologists use knowledge about extreme environments to search for life on other planets. Although primarily written for middle school science teachers, this would be a great current event or guided reading for my high biology class after we study the domain Archea. The links to NASA data are also wonderful.
