Green Science: Building for the Future

by: Janna Palliser

This first Green Science column will focus on the environmental features of NSTA’s new headquarters, the John Glenn Center for Science Education. The new building, which is currently being designed, will be constructed next door to NSTA’s current location in Arlington, Virginia, and will be approximately 66,000 square feet, with six stories. The design of the new building will incorporate environmental features throughout, and construction will minimize waste and use recycled or renewable materials whenever possible. This article will outline some of the planned features of the new building.
