Snappy

edited by: William C. Ritz and William Straits

This activity involves observing properties of a new material. Away from children, make a batch of snappy with recipe provided and put on table for them to use. Children will work with the snappy for a long time—pushing, pulling, rolling, and stretching it. Encourage them to brainstorm other ways they could use snappy. A materials list, internet resources, standards, and safety practices are provided. This book selection also includes the Table of Contents, Preface, About the Editors, Introduction, Simple Graphing for Young Children, Science Teaching Boards and Boxes, Basic Materials List, and Index.
