by: Peggy Ashbrook and Sue Nellor
edited by: Linda Froschauer

In this activity, note the steps for redesign, and be open to following a design process, not a rigid the design process. Students may spend a long time exploring the properties of the materials before they begin making purposeful changes to refine their design so their design works best. Integrate engineering design into your curriculum by building on the everyday problems that young children encounter in the school day. A materials list, teacher background information, and outcomes are provided. This book selection includes the Table of Contents, Introduction, Reference, and Index.
